I practice general Chinese Medicine with specialties in sports & orthopedic acupuncture as well as mental health. I trained with Whitfield Reaves, OMD, L.Ac., a master clinician integral in the development of orthopedic and sports medicine in the acupuncture profession in North America and Europe. I am also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 23 years of practice specializing in trauma recovery and maintain a separate private psychotherapy practice.
I have studied Tai Chi and Chi Gong with Miriam Marsolais, PhD, at White Magnolia Tai Chi for over 10 years, and initially began because of a personal history with chronic pain. I eventually became a Senior Instructor and enjoy teaching Intermediate, Beginner and Restorative Tai Chi & Chi Gong classes. I owe my recovery from pain to Tai Chi, Chi Gong, acupuncture, Tui Na massage, healthy eating and, of course, encouragement from people dear to me.
I am also a Senior Instructor with Kidpower Teenpower Fullpower, International, and provide self-protection and advocacy training skills to people all over the Bay Area. www.kidpower.org
