I am a licensed acupuncturist and herbalist who helps patients lead pain-free lives. I specialize in sports medicine and mental health. After acupuncture school, I completed the intensive Acupuncture Sports Medicine Apprenticeship Program with Dr. Whitfield Reaves who pioneered the use of acupuncture with Western orthopedics. I seek to change the public’s reliance on opioids by spreading the word about safe, natural interventions like acupuncture that actually work.
I suffered a debilitating neck injury over 10 years ago that left me bedridden for 4 months. My true recovery began 1 year later when a friend suggested acupuncture and Tai Chi. I was able to come off several pain medications and an antidepressant, and also was happy to cancel a scheduled surgery to fuse the vertebrae in my neck.
After 18 years as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Children’s Hospital Oakland, I decided to pursue a career in Chinese Medicine. I now practice acupuncture and teach Tai Chi & Chi Gong. I am passionate about helping others take charge of their healthcare, as I did, with options that target the root cause of the pain and minimize the use of drugs and surgery.
